Hosted by Dr. Shelley Campeau—a long-time volunteer with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute who has served for over 10 years as co-chair of the Text and Tables Working Group and currently as an Advisor to the AST Subcommittee—this webinar offers expert insight into key changes introduced in the 2026 M100 guidelines.
Participants will gain an overview of CLSI and its AST resources, explore major updates in the M100 36th edition, and learn practical strategies for implementing these changes in the laboratory setting. The session will also provide insight into upcoming topics currently under evaluation by CLSI, helping laboratories stay prepared for future developments.
Objectives:
1. Describe CLSI and available antimicrobial susceptibility testing resources.
2. Discuss major updates in the CLSI M100 36th edition.
3. Identify ways CLSI updates can be implemented by laboratories.
4. Review upcoming topics under evaluation by CLSI.
Speaker:
Shelley Campeau, PhD, D(ABMM)
Dr. Shelley Campeau currently works as a consultant with Scientific and Medical Affairs Consulting, LLC. She received her PhD at the University of Irvine and subsequently completed a 2-year Medical and Public Health Microbiology Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCLA. She spent another 3 years at UCLA overseeing clinical translational research studies before transitioning into industry, where she was Director of Clinical Trials at Accelerate Diagnostics for 4 years. Much of her professional career has been in the area of antimicrobial susceptibility testing with a focus on rapid diagnostics and testing of new antimicrobial agents. She’s been a volunteer with CLSI for about 10 years as co-chair for the Text and Tables Working Group, and more recently as an Advisor to the AST Subcommittee.
