Dr. Min Yu will explore the evolving role of large language models (i.e., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude) in laboratory medicine. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of LLMs, including their architecture and key features, and examine real-world applications across clinical, administrative, and educational domains. The session will also address the risks and limitations of adopting LLMs in laboratory practice, offering strategies to mitigate these concerns. Attendees will leave with practical insights and actionable steps for responsibly integrating LLMs into laboratory workflows.
